Small container blends in well with its surroundings. It holds logsheets, a pencil, one of our homemade 1Q4J coins, a Rupert2 wooden nickel and a Calgary pin.

Hope you like this cache n' dash. Pull-out parking nearby. In the distance to the south you'll see a scenic large hill on the landscape formerly known (we think) as the Kleefeld Dump.

In the good ol' days it used to be a great adventure to go take the garbage to the dump on a Saturday. We'd leave our clippings and garbage and possibly pick up something the neighbour thought was useless and we thought was a real treasure. Lots of recycling happened! Sadly there aren't many places left where one can do this.

We still visit active dumps wherever we can. Our last great find (last year) was a Samsung 28 inch color t.v. (no remote) and it works very well. We've also salvaged fish hooks, bird houses, and antique chairs.

This small cache celebrates the return of a dump to a natural place of beauty!

"This cache was hidden to add to the number of QUALITY caches hidden in Manitoba. It is an official BLITZ cache for the May Madness event. Hope you enjoy the hunt!"

When we were growing up in Landmark, we always went to a different dump, but there as well it was the same idea. We'd come out with about as much junk as we went in with. Ahh, the toys and stuff we found. Yeah, probably not all that sanitary, but we were country-kids! In either case... I figured I'd be looking for a significantly bigger dump. Unless it's been completely buried or something... just saw a few kinda hills off to the side. SWEET cache container though! First time I've ever seen one of that variety. But it stands out JUST enough to notice that something is amiss ToungeOut
Took: Nothing
Left: Logbook entry and chainmail ball (see profile).
