This cache is the third in a series of “Remember” caches, dedicated to a few of the thousands of Canadian Servicemen who have given their all to defend our way of life. Remember #30 is situated in an urban forest and camoed to its environment. Scramble, scramble, scramble, a cache has been spotted. Make sure your knee pad is extra large for this log book. A FTF certificate is there for the finding!

Within the cache is information on one serviceman. You may want to record this information because the “Remember” series has one factor that ties them all together and it will help you find the last of the series which will be a puzzle cache. Information from each of the caches will be required to find this last one or, if you figure out the factor that ties them together, you will be able to “fast forward” to the last cache.

PLEASE RE-HIDE THE CACHE EXACTLY AS FOUND!

Found it 2/6/2007 by Kabuthunk
I've been wanting to tackle the 'Remember' series of caches for a while now. Stupid cold has been hindering my progress however.

But... today, I had a chance to go out and geocache, and this one was right nicely along the path I was planning to cache along today. I also had a mess of TB's that I rescued from my own cache that needed to be spread about. But yes... been wanting to tackle this series, so here I am taking on another one of 'em.

Found myself some parking on the road closest to this cache. Not 100% certain if I was technically allowed to park on the 'house' side of the road, but I didn't see any no-parking signs on that side, so I figured I'd go for it. The cache was all of about 100 meters away from where I was, so I didn't think I'd be gone that long in case they tried to tow me away.

I had even already come up with my arguement as to why they shouldn't tow it, saying there's no signs saying I can't, residential road, etc, etc ToungeOut.

BUT... that's besides the point. On topic... I headed out. It looks like a trail of sorts had already been packed to this cache. A veeeeery thin trail that looks like it had either been stomped down by a pack of dogs, or herd of deer, or something. Lots of animal footprints, anyway. If a human did help in making them, they were far obscured by the deer and other small-footed-animal tracks. I'm guessing they must have been human-assisted though, since they led me straight to the cache Smile. Hurrah! No getting snow in my shoes today! Kinda close though. Just about fell down a few times while weaving under and around the various trees that were overtop of the trail.

AWESOME cache hiding by the way. Took me a second to figure out how it was hidden. I saw something that looked suspicious, and did my usual "poke it to see if it doesn't act natural". Indeed, my poking informed me that my hunch was correct. Looking inside, the container was actually really tall. A LOT bigger than I was expecting from it's hiding spot, anyway.

Nonetheless... yet another TB has found a new home, and I've found yet another awesome cache. Thanks for the excellent hide man! I love forest-caches, and this was no exception SmileSmileSmile. Didn't get a chance to look around inside the cache container much for anything I might want to trade for though... was starting to lose feeling in my fingers after I took my gloves off to sign it ToungeOut. Although, that geocoin looked too cool to not snag and migrate later :}
