An epic 5 year campaign

This page, though it should be as epic in scale as the campaign itself, will have to exist more as a links page, as no tabletop gaming section existed on Zebeth when L5R started up. It's beginning on Zebeth started... with knitting.

Sushi's cup cozy

And wow was I into it. I got dice, I was given dice, I had multiple characters that spanned years and years, our food breaks starting with pizza and progressing to a much healthier and more community-focused hotpot. Our incredible DM J1 gifted us tea cups and sake cups, which I painted for the group The bottom of our tea and sake cups painted

And I got my character sheets on the site as well Sushi's character sheet, followed by Hiruma Kabu, the rest of the character sheets, and what will be my next character, The Wall (actual name TBD).

And. It. Was Glorious. J1 had the most incredible NPC's, plots, and even came up with things that I plan to bring into my own campaigns, like the players coming up with their own stores to appear in the game. Thankfully, thanks to the emails for game over the years, I'm able to preserve my stores in Rokugan (different from my own lol):

Store Name: Goro's House of Smash
Products: Your heavy armour and blunt instrument emporium
Slogan: "Because it's harder to heal a crater than a cut"

Merchant Name and Description: Goro is the owner and blacksmith of his armoury. He is a dusty man with a scraggly beard and blacksmith aprons, and arms built like an ox. He is usually working out front, though can be called by battering on the giant suit of armour that hangs to the right.

Store Description: The name of his shop is apt, as not only does he smash things, but the things he makes are meant to be smashed. And boy, can they be! He takes pride in his work, and has one mildly beaten suit of armour outside of his shop that he offers for passers-by to try to destroy. It looks like it could weigh 100 pounds on its own, but it's a piece of metal out front for people to beat upon for fun, it draws in the customers!
<dm note: feel free to make this a magical or otherwise significant piece of armour, possibly in need of minor repairs>

A second shop existed, though that has been lost to time (the one above is by far my favourite at least). It was a shop in which you could purchase incredibly detailed carvings, possibly of a magical nature. The extremely fine work was accomplished with black market fine sanding stones normally reserved for sharpening katanas, as the shop owner's copious consumption of the nation's latest craze, café (coffee, as opposed to the usual tea).

And as stated, it was glorious. It all was glorious. Kuraido reached rank 6 and was retired to a DM controlled NPC so I could explore other characters, Sushi sacrificed herself in order to destroy an infinite skeleton-creating cauldron, and the ones that followed were short lived and forgettable lol. But they did their part, Kuraido kept turning up, and some quotes from Sushi still appear in my mind here and there "DM: You spot a few drops of blood on the wall of the building across the street" "Me: I SEE BLOOD!!!! (very directedly pointing at it)". Oh Kuraido and Sushi, you were both incredible. I'm still a Crab at heart, but that Lion was incredible too.

L5R. It was incredible, it is incredible, and it will continue to be incredible. It had amazing mechanics (the duel system), the DM was incredible (thank you J1!!!), everyone had incredible characters, our Damiyo Tadaka two-shotted the final boss (it only took two because they made the saving throw in round 1. Stimpy just cast "Unmake the World" again on round 2).

As I said... glorious ❤️
