Come out and visit with other cachers and relive those memorable finds and DNFs or just come and find out more about GeoCaching. As a bonus, attending the event counts as a find. We hope to see everyone there! Please post a Will Attend if you think you might be coming and also Add this listing to your watchlist in case of any last minute changes such as venue arises. Showed up, unfortunately too late for most of the festivities, but showed up nonetheless. Due to having to work overtime at work, I was only able to eventually get there at about 10:20 or so. Upon entering, I was informed by the waitress that the place closes at 11:00, and thus we weren't even given the option to get food... not that there would have been time to eat it after it had been prepared . Due to the fact that the entirity of the food I had eaten today up to that point had been a handful of crackers and a Mr. Noodles soup... my stomach strongly informed me that it was displeased. However, I told it to cram it, and stayed for a little bit .
And thus, I stayed for a bit. I gotta admit... I wasn't expecting quite that much of a reaction when I pulled off my jacket and revealed the chainmail shirt. I mean, I expected a few "hey, cool" and "so that's what it looks like" kinda stuff... but there was quite the interest in it.
That's right... I told you I was going to try to remember to wear it to the next event, and that I did. However, I may be wearing it to another one still, simply due to the fact that I was only at the event for about 15 minutes. But hey, the opportunity to wear chainmail I rarely pass up.
For the record... going grocery shopping while wearing chainmail gets you some rather interesting looks .
But yeah... got pawed by GG56, Dani, and several others if I'm not mistaken. I'm sure the amusing picture that Dani took is bound to turn up online somewhere or another (I was mildly disappointed that it wasn't attached to her log for this event ).
But yeah, wish I could have stayed and chatted longer, or at least gotten to talk a little bit with table #2 there (or was that 1?). Another time, another time.
Although... and I'm completely kicking myself for it... I forgot to drop a chainmail ball at the event . One might argue that wearing a full chainmail shirt to the event might suffice... but I don't roll that way. Chainmail was not left at the cache site... thus it must be left in the future. I've been late with chainmail-ball drops before, having on rare occasion to have to return at a later time to drop them off. And that is what shalt be done with this restaurant. Sayeth I now that not long into the future, a chainmail ball shalt find it's way either into a waitresses hands, or should I lose the nerve to just hand things over to strangers... onto the banister of this restaurant. This I vow.
Took: Nothing
Left: Lots of interesting looks, the signing of the Geoswarm picture, and a chainmail ball sometime in the near future
EDIT: For the record, the chainmail ball was officially delivered on Nov. 21st. Due to lack of internet however, I couldn't post as such until today.

I'm a comin', albeit a little late.
I'll be there with bells on. Or at least a lot of some kind of metal .

I'll try to attend. Depends on a few factors though. Mainly that I might have to work stupid late overtime at work, but I'll cross my fingers that I won't have to. I work until 8:00 normally, so I'll be a bit late, regardless. Hopefully I'll show up though .

I'm not sure if I'm on-call for work on this particular week or not. I'll know for sure about a week prior to the event, but until then, I could go either way. I think I'll be available, so hopefully I can show up .
