The cache is in a clear rubbermaid container in a very cool spot! ********** Updated as of August 1, 2011 ********** Cache is in great condition with LOTS of goodies!! We checked on it and stocked it up. We also cleaned up some litter. There are a few different approaches to the cache but we recommend that you start at the paved scenic trailhead located here: Trailhead coordinates: N 50 00.353 W 96 55.281 ** WATCH OUT FOR MOUNTAIN BIKERS!! ** |

Man, those biking trails leading up to here are fun. Lotsa hills, sharp curves, and a smooth path the whole way. Much fun. I wonder how many people have no clue that this biking hilly path thing exists, given you can't see it from the road in the least.
Several other bikers had arrived at the biking "circuit" as I was going past, but they weren't even coming close to following me, so the path was clear. Veering off-trail when I got close to the coordinates led me to what I could only assume was the cache.
It turns out I was correct . Cool armour on this cache... don't forsee it being attacked by bears or the like anytime soon. Although, it looks like the "armour" has taken a few hits from... something, anyway. Likely before it became the cache's armour .
Took: Nothing
Left: Logbook entry and chainmail ball
Hints (Back)
Follow the self guiding trail for 1/2 km. Go past the "Rodents" sign and veer off the trail at the fork near a boulder. The cache is located in the second clearing 40 meters S.E. of the big oak tree. Look for the "treasure chest" rusty grate.
