This cache was both awesome and a bit of a letdown, but I'll get to that. To begin with... the awesome (which was quite the unexpected awesome). I started out from Polo Park, and walked over towards here. Upon crossing that big bridge over the highway (the one by the baseball diamond), and well...crossing the aformentioned baseball diamond part, I saw quite possibly the most idyllic scene I've ever come across in Winnipeg (see attached picture for still of it):
Standing on the crest of a hill, with the glistening frost lightly covering all of the grass and tree branches. A river babbles in the distance, through the light scattering of trees.
*sigh*
Aaaand then the area was once again hit with joggers and dog walkers *shakes fist*. Well... at least I got a good 30 seconds or so of pure idyllic relaxating. DAMN was that awesome.
So anyway... I continued onwards, following the arrow. Crossed the stream thing by stepping on rocks, and found the cache. Yyyyeah... wasn't expecting such an awesome park to have a drive-up film canister. I would have known this had I read the page before going after the cache, but I was just kinda going in general. Ah well. Woulda still gone after it anyway... but would have kinda been pre-prepared for the end result . As with the previous cacher, it was a good thing I had my small Gerber multitool with me
But hey... got to see an awesome view, and for that, I thank you
