As of late, I seem to have been having quite a great deal of luck in resolving my old DNF's. There was the 'Higher Education', 'Childhood Memories', a 'Conquista', and various other ones that were more recently DNF'd... thus resolved a lot quicker. But I thought "Hey... whatever deity of DNF resolution is dragging my sorry carcass directly to the geocaches I couldn't get before is doing a good job. Let's see how long I can get 'em to keep slapping me in the right direction."

Hence... today after work, I decided that today would be a mass "DNF Resolution Attempt", or DNFRA... pronounced Dinifra ToungeOut.

Anyhow... This cache happened to be Dinifra attempt number 1. As I left work, I set the GPS to this waypoint, and followed it's lead. I may have missed a turn or two, but yay for the GPSMap 60cx and recalculating it when I screw up. It fixes things FOR me BigSmile. After a quick journey, I find myself at the parking lot area. Parking about 20 meters from where the cache is supposed to be, I grab my GPS and walk over. At which point... I began the same fruitless search I had attempted last time. However... WHILE attempting said search lacking in fruit, I looked to the side and thought something looked a little too... flat. Poking it with my finger, it turns out my thought was correct... it WAS too flat! However, said flatness also appeared to be frozen in place a bit. A little bit of jostling, and I was home free!

A quick chainmail ball later, and the cache was set back in place. Gave it a little bit less flat an appearance for good measure, and headed back. YAY for Dinifra the first BigSmile.

Took: Nothing
Left: Logbook entry and chainmail ball

Almost -20 out... but it's my birthday, so I decided to attempt to at least find SOMETHING on my birthday. Low on time before having to go to work, I quickly scanned everything near me to see what winter-friendly caches were vaguely close to nearby. After some driving around, I came across this one. Stopped nearby and did a quick search for it. Lotsa bystanders around, so couldn't find much. Felt under just about every corrugation of that structure and couldn't feel a thing. Musta been somewhere else, but I couldn't think of where, since everything else near the coordinates wouldn't be very accessible in winter.

Due to lack of time and abundance of random people, I passed on this, and shalt return either after trying to snag a hint from someone, or another time I'm in the area.
