This cache is located in what was the back nine of a golf course in Charleswood. The front nine are currently being used as the Charleswood Parkway. Eventually this green space will also end up roadway as there are plans to further extend the Parkway south. If you approach from the north check your GPS it may show you speeding across the first nine holes course at 80 KPH. While this is not officially designated as a off-leash park you will be hard pressed to see it used as anything else. It is always full of dogs and their owners. It is fenced in on three sides but there are various holes in the wire by which one may enter. The cache is a small round plastic container with very little space for anything other than a log book and a short pencil. |

Was a little worried I wouldn't be able to get into this cache location. Saw a loooong fence around where the cache appeared to be in. However, luck (or perhaps just city planning that would make sense in general) had me find that the mall parking lot was pretty much right across from the entrance to the park area. Which is probably good... because it was cold out, and I forgot my toque and gloves. Wasn't exactly in the mood for, nor prepared for a half-mile hike or whatever .
So yeah... was able to find the cache quite easily. Then again, by coincidence, yesterday I had found a cache using the EXACT same hiding method (coincidentally in ANOTHER park... but that one was outside the city). So yeah... was able to spot it pretty quick, and go in for the find .
Took: Nothing
Left: Logbook entry and micromail ball (due to the cache being quite full of stuff in general)
