This cache is just in time to make the Manitoba May Blitz! Wanted to get some folks to the south end of this beautiful forest. This is a small camoed Lock n Lock box. It contains Manitoba GeoCoin #298 and a other trade items. It was a bit wet in the area when placed, but won't always be like that. |

Had several hours before work to kill, and I was in the mood for forest caches. Ahh, by far my favourite type of cache is those that are hidden in forests and the like. So awesome... so relaxing. This one didn't start quite so relaxing though. Started out travelling down Wilkes, and pulled up to a mini-road entrance by the railroad, as that was closest to the cache. However, I didn't feel comfortable leaving my car there, so I decided to continue onwards and leave them for now (at which point I took on the conquista - Peru cache). I wandered around the residential section a little bit, seeing how close I could get to the cache. Finding parking, I discovered... over 600 meters. Good enough for me! I likes me forest-wandering.
Sure, it's a tad more than the 90 or so meters I could have had from Wilkes, but I like hiking. Didn't have my hiking stick, but oh well. A relatively quick find after wandering down a weird, tree-created path (see picture, once I upload it tonight), and then off towards the cache. Nice and dry, and a beautiful, warm, sunny day for caching. Loved the trip to get to it. Thanks .
Took: Nothing
Left: Logbook entry and chainmail ball
