I had fought with this puzzle for hours on end, countless times. Many times did I ponder and puzzle at how I could possibly solve the picture. After some group thinking with another geocacher (Lizardo I believe) at the recent MBGA Pub Nite, the puzzle had yielded it's secrets. However... given how much I had fought with this particular puzzle, I wanted to save the find for something special. In this case... my 200th find!
And find I did! The light was quickly draining from the sky as I drove toward the cache. Of course... in situations where time is a factor, someone driving about 30 under the speed limit was ahead of me, and there was too much traffic from the front to even attempt to pass.
*sigh*
BUT... he eventually turned off, and I continued at full speed! Stopping nearby, I hopped out of the car, and headed over. And then I stopped. It would appear that THIS cache as well was protected by a natural moat of sorts. It took a little bit of planning before I could find a dryish path to take. Still ended up getting slightly damp socks, but hey... for number 200, I would have gone in up to my knees in the water .
And quite the large cache it is! Tons of stuff in here. Anyone with kids, you may want to look into solving this one and taking 'em out here. Although, it IS kinda wet around here right now, so you probably want to plan for that.
Decided that the area looked cool enough for a Ninja Turtle to kick back, so I left the Michaelangelo TB in here. Otherwise... quite glad to be at the 200 mark, and to have done it at this cache in particular . Thanks for the adveture, seemingly also brought to me by Archimedes .
Added bonus, I found a fish-shaped pen there. WHEEEE! In goes a lanyard clip I've been holding onto for a trade item for just such a cool exchange . It can be a memento of sorts for #200.
Took: Fish-shaped pen
Left: Michaelangelo TB, lanyard clip, logbook entry and chainmail ball
