The $25,000 cache has been disabled Slow Joe and his brother Clint have held up a nearby bank and have stolen $25,000. All the citizens of Beanland, including the Sheriff, are not very happy and need your help. The Sheriff has made YOU an honorary Deputy to help him find the stolen loot. This cache is located near the hide out of the dim-witted robbers where they were ultimately captured. The Sheriff can not recover the money because the not too bright robbers forgot where they hid the cash. You must search this location for the evidence and then combine it with evidence found where the thieves made The Get-A-Way. Once you combine the evidence found at each of these two locations, it will lead you to the $25,000 Cache. This cache contains a log book, small tradable items and a first to find certificate. |

Second find of the day, and second DNF that has been resolved. I have absolutely zero clue how I managed to miss it the first time around. I must have literally had my hand on top of it when I first attempted this fella. Didn't quite realize how to actually access the cache at the time, when there was a ton of snow and such. But... easy sailing this time.
And I mean that literally... you damn near have to sail to the cache . I attempted to walk a path that I THOUGHT was dry-looking, or at least on the packed snow. Yeah... you even THINK about stepping two inches off the correct path, your foot goes under the briny deep. Although, I pulled my foot up before it got TOO wet. Not wet enough to come close to slowing me down, anyway .
Although, the next people may want to especially watch their step about 10 meters from the cache. There's a puddle deep enough to swim in just about. Evidently, this hideout comes with a moat .
The cache was a quick find after that. Cracked it open and signed me some logbook. Finally nice to have found this fella. STILL wondering how in the world I managed to not find it the first time around. Snagged the geocoin though, since I didn't have any trackables at all on me at the time. Didn't realize it's trying to visit all provinces, but it didn't matter much, it ended up being dropped off about 10 minutes from now anyway to trade for another trackable.
I actually ended up coming back to this cache twice though. Upon starting to go after the "The Get Away" cache, I realized I was supposed to have gotten some information from this one to get to the puzzle cache vaguely nearby. Hence, I ended up walking back again and getting the info. Second time around was drier, though. I actually knew where to step this time .
Took: Marmacette Quebec Geocoin

[Looks like luck wasn't in the cards for me today on this one. Me and my friend Night-Red went after this cache this evening, armed with a GPS, flashlights (well, one flashlight, and one head-lamp), and nothing but the darkness and snow to accompany us at about 7:30pm.
Arrived at the cache location and followed the path paved through the pseudo-field to ground zero. Found a lot of] cement pads with spacing either between or under them, [but could find even the slightest hint of the cache container. I DID however find] a large sack of golf-balls, [but no logbook or box or container or anything was anywhere in or around there.
Kinda sucks, since I went here in hopes of dropping off a TB or two that have been dwelling in my posession for about a week or so.
Ah well. Going by what would most likely be the hiding spot (which was located indeed at exactly ground-zero), I'm thinking that it might be either missing, or just really, really well disguised (or simply just somewhere I didn't see it. It WAS cold and dark after all).
I'll go after this one again after someone else finds it to confirm it's still there .]
