Another trip to Carman, another set of geocaches to find. Figured I'd go after this fella first, since it was the newest one in town. Went geocaching this time around with my fiancee (wooh, finally getting her to go geocaching with me now and then. Slowly wearing her down into a geocacher ), and my niece. My niece was one of the two with me LAST time I was geocaching in Carman (the other coincidentally being my fiancee's sister that time around), and loved it. She was very anxious to go geocaching again, so I couldn't let her down .
So... geocaching we went! Parked at some strip-mall's parking lot on Main street and wandered over. Note: the river (or stream, or whatever it is) that runs through Carman... there any fish in there? I dunno... I think it'd be cool to be able to fish in a river in town. Probably not all that safe to do it in Winnipeg, anyway .
Anyhow... followed the GPS to where Sask Grizzly Cacher indicated they were looking, and found nothing. Looked at the GPS again (since I once again had better coordinates, being behind the buildings instead of between them ), and realized it said that I was around 10 meters away! Quickly corrected my position, and quickly found the cache. YAY FOR NEW CACHES!
It looks like the FTF prize was still in there, and my sister (who lives in Carman) LOVES the tanning place (according to my niece), so she wanted to take it for my sister to use. As trade, we put in a super ball (I still think these are awesome trade items. I LOVE playing with these things! But... I grew up in the country, and am likely easily amused as well ), removed the geocache army man, and put in a Diabetes TB and chainmail ball. Thanks for the adventure, and the start of getting my niece and fiancee out caching again .
Took: Tanning coupon, Geocache Army soldier
Left: Logbook entry, bouncy ball, diabetes TB, and chainmail ball
