This small cache contains a log book and pencil and some small trade items. It is located in a fairly busy area that can contain muggles most of the time. Happy hunting! |

My niece, still wanting to do some geocaching even after having found the 'Welcome to Carman' cache, as well as re-locate the 'The Eagle' cache, headed over to this one to re-locate it. Basically, make sure it was still here and in good condition.
She had it in-hand even before I had gotten two steps away from my brother in law's van . This cache seems to have a 'needs maintenance' tag on it... which in my opinion can probably be removed. The cache seemed to be in excellent condition. It was slightly hard to open, but I think that was moreso due to the weather than anything. I couldn't spot any rust, and everything inside seemed dry.
So yeah, cache is still here, and in good condition. Figured I should post a note for this and 'The Eagle', since they haven't been found since September. Never hurts to have a quick check on the status of a cache not found in a while .

I've been wanting to do this geocache SO badly since the last time I was caching in Carman. I knew OF the structure that the cache dwelled in, but had never visited it. Last time, we were just WAY too cold to be poking around metal in the middle of winter (I was gloveless at the time as well), and could barely feel my fingers back then.
THIS time however... it was plenty warm out, and I had reinforcements by way of my fiancee and niece as well working with me on this one. Which was quite convenient, because in the end, my niece located the spot in which the cache was hidden.
Although, I must say something that won't specify where the cache IS, but I will have to specify something about where the cache ISN'T. In the barrel (you'll know what I'm referring to when you get to the location), the cache is not hidden. Do not attempt to look inside of there. It appears to have a broken beer bottle jammed tightly inside. I was feeling around, and was quite lucky to have not cut my hand. Hence... when you're at the cache location... it's not in the barrel... look anywhere but there for safety reasons.
That said... after concluding the above paragraph, we searched everywhere we could think of. However... due to the structure's... umm... "the way that it just is", I was somewhat tricked out of looking where the cache was located. But as stated above, my niece tried the spot in which the cache was hidden, and BINGO! Nice spot indeed. Definitely a fun cache .
My niece wanted one of the pins inside as a souvenir of geocaching. The swag that I had (that would fit) was National Geographic stickers, so it got several of those in trade. Freed up a bit of room... but that was taken up by a geocache army soldier from the "Farmer's Tan" cache. In retrospect... I hope that someone didn't just move it from here to there just recently, only to have me move it back again. If that's the case... sorry. This cache just seemed appropriate, but it's quite likely whoever had it before me thought that as well .
Took: Pin
Left: Logbook entry, stickers, and micromail ball
