Please if you can, use the parking co-ords provided and find the cache the way it was intended to be found by walking along the Greenway. This simple cache is located along the new paved portion of the
Bishop Grandin Greenway! Please bring your own writing stick. It
can hold small trade items but does not currently have any
tradeables or a FTF certificate! NOTE: I took an average of co-ords but my GPS has been not working so well lately. Any co-ord corrections would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance! |

After skimming some of the previous logs, it looks like I may have been the first person to actually dislodge the entire cache container, as opposed to only accessing the logbook to it . It didn't come without a bit of a fight though... but gave in fairly easily. I guess foxfiresyxx loosened it up for me .
But yeah, I decided to attempt to tackle this cache after having just found the nearby 'Allegra' cache. I honestly thought this cache was for some reason significantly further away though. And not by some small amount either... for some reason, ever since my first DNF with Allegra, I for some bizarre reason thought it was like... 500 meters or so further away. Hence why I didn't bother going after it back in January when I attempted Allegra.
Not that the distance would have mattered one way or the other today though. It was a beautiful day out, and I was fully prepared to walk the extra distance regardless. Hey, at least the fact that it was closer than anticipated sped up the process, and let me squeeze one more cache in at the end of my trip .
I was a bit worried about the pedestrian traffic though. I managed to get lucky at 'Allegra', but didn't know if my luck would hold out for here. On the walk between the two caches, two seperate groups passed me. And that's not all that long of a time span! However, once I got close to the coordinates, all was clear behind me, but there was a large group of people moving very slowly down the path in the distance in front of me. I figured I'd have to act fast in order to take care of this before they got too close for me to feel comfortable poking around the cache site.
Luckly, the 'natural camouflage' for the cache tended to stick out quite a bit, and I spotted the location as a whole quite quickly. I instantly dove for it, and located the cache container. As mentioned earlier, the entire cache container thankfully yielded to my grasp, and I pulled it entirely out. It didn't seem to have any swag in it... but this could be due to both the logbook taking up most of the space, and the fact that previous finders have only been able to access the lid and logbook. Ah well... it has a micromail ball hiding in there now . I tried to get a regular size chainmail ball into the container, but the logbook wouldn't fit after it . Oh well... no swag made this find go a bit faster... which in this case was somewhat needed with the group slowly approaching. I quickly re-closed the cache container and slid it back into place.
Instead of replacing the original 'natural camouflage' that stuck out quite a bit, I opted to get a bit more natural looking, better fitting natural camo to cover the cache container. It worked like a charm... a lot less conspicuous, and I managed to do it very quickly before the group arrived. It still put up a fight though... when grabbing said natural camo from the ground, it splashed up and splattered my face with muddy water . Upon leaving the cache site as a whole, I turned back right around the bend to see if I had attracted any attention from the aformentioned large group of people. Thankfully, they seem to have passed the coordinates without investigating (that I could see). Mission accomplished .
Took: Nothing
Left: Logbook entry and micromail ball
