The cache is hidden along the Seine River, on a tract of land called Bois-des-esprits. This area was saved from housing developers by the Save our Seine committee. |
The cache is in a 2.5L white rubbermaid container. When placed it contained a First to Find Certificate, log book, Mini me the Travel Bug, 3 handcrafted key chains (made with love by Fil), a dream catcher, pocket thesaurus, key holder, measuring tape, telescoping magnetic picker upper and a set of 4 fishy coasters.

Nice foresty little area here. Never wandered through here, but looks like it has potential for some interesting mountain biking. In either case, after parking on a nearby residential road, I hiked on over. Cache's hiding spot is quite easy to spot, so I'm kinda surprised that it hasn't been looted by non-cachers or whatnot. In either case, pretty interesting stuff in that cache. REALLY like the logbook, with the water-resistant paper and whatnot. Quite nice. Was a little chilly, so my handwriting in there might be a bit messy... shivering and such.
And at this particular cache, I've now come to the conclusion that my GPSr must be possessed. I had quite a bit better accuracy under the tree cover, on a drizzly, cloudy day than I do standing in an open field, on a hill, on a clear day. Must have had INSANELY good satellite positioning above me.
Took: Nothing
Left: Logbook entry and chainmail ball (see profile)
