There’s nice walking trails through Wildwood Park and around the point. You’ll need to solve the puzzle to complete the cache! The cache is winter friendly. Cache IS located at the posted coordinates. It’s a summer weekday and you just had a great afternoon finding the Trailing Fall, Up The Creek, Poker Stash #4 and Santa's Lil' Helper caches. You remember there’s a cache in Fort Garry you haven’t found yet so you walk over to Springfield and Karen and catch the bus. But first you’ve got a dinner date, so you get off at Kildonan Place to meet for supper. After a delicious meal your friend gives you a ride downtown. By now it’s after 7:00 and your friend’s going to Portage Place, but you’re determined to get to Fort Garry so you hop on the bus at Carlton and Ellice. After 12 minutes or so, you get off at Point Road and jump on another bus. It’s the last bus of the evening and you get off a few minutes later on North Drive. Now it’s time to find the cache! To complete this cache you’ll need to remember the route numbers of the buses you took. And because shorter bus rides are better, you get to divide the route numbers by two.

HOORAY! After getting a bit of a shove in the right direction from TurdleEggs, I got to go back for round two.

Turns out I was taking the phraseology of the puzzle a bit too literally. Maybe it's because I'm from the country. Stupid bus system .

In either case... I actually had the puzzle CORRECTLY solved (my favourite type of puzzle solution) late last night. However, due to sleep-needing requirements, I decided to leave it until after work today.

After an agonizingly slow rush-hour drive home, I eventually got to the cache location. Luckly, I still had two plastic bags, and yesterday's footprints at the site. A guy appeared to be cross-country skiiing across the field, but he had passed the cache site before I got there... so all seemed well. He never even turned his head either, so I doubt he knew I even existed .

One quick attempt at the post-finding-cache puzzle, and I gained access! Yet another DNF (albeit an extremely recent one) has been found .

Found what I assume was the cache container (despite no geocache-related markings or numbers on it that I could spot... but it was at ground-zero, and seemed to fit the puzzle). However... I was unable to open the cache.

Then again... I went to visit this cache under the assumption that I WOULDN'T find it... but went anyway to confirm a hunch. The hunch was indeed confirmed, and let me know exactly what I needed to be looking for to solve the puzzle.

I attempted to solve the puzzle of the routes prior to visiting the cache... but going by the directions, there was a minimum of 5 or 6 route numbers (and one road that had two route numbers associated with it) that could have been used. Counting it out just now (probably more than this value, but it gives me an idea), there was 40 or more possible answers to the puzzle that I could find. Given I didn't want to stand in the snow for the next two hours trying every possible combination... I headed out. For this cache, I'll probably have to get a hint or two, which I'll email the owner for eventually (unless someone wants to toss me a hint in general anyway ).

But yeah... I know what I'm looking for, so I'll be back in due time .
