What's this? A forest cache that I'm biking somewhat close to? GPS, we've got work to do .
I was actually out biking with my friend Justin, and figured that while we're cruising around Assinaboine park, I'd snag me a geocache to keep up my streak (now at 9-days-in-a-row of caching). However, since neither of us wanted to visit the zoo at the time (I'll be going there sometime or another with my fiancee), we passed on the "Camels, Lions, Zebras" cache and checked what else is nearby. This was the next nearest, and I convinced Justin to bike on into Assinaboine forest. About 100m from the cache, we locked our bikes to a tree and continued the rest on foot. Bang-on coords and a hunch made this an easy yet clever hide (can't see random wanderers finding it accidentally). Thanks for the forest cache .
However... there appears to be an imposter in the midst. Inside the cache I found a chainmail ball ALREADY there. Peculiar. In retrospect, I could have "trade" a new chainmail ball for that one to save one... but I've got tons . Hence... the cache now has two of 'em. Strangely as well, I didn't see anyone elses log list dropping a chainmail ball... so I'm guessing it was original cache swag.
Plus side... now that there's two in here... if someone collects 'em both, you can very easily make matching earrings .
Took: Nothing
Left: Logbook entry and chainmail ball
