Enter the operating system
First, I'd like to thank Unspawny from the #zebeth irc chat for contributing the idea of the operating system. *THANKS MAN!*
Secondly, if you haven't already guessed which OS Mother Brain is using... it'll be a Mac OS X. Which version of 10 ask you? Ah, say I. I'm leaving that open in case it's actually needed. Odds are it won't make a difference though.

What's that?
I'm not 100% sure, but I found reference to it being a powerful thought device. Word has gotten around that we're just in an "emulator".
Yeah, Metroid-thingy mentions that a fair amount when drunk in the bar.
So... I discovered a way to access information outside this... emulator, and searched for data on exactly WHAT emulates us. Turns out there are many types of Operating Systems... so I just got the 10th of a big series of 'em.
Damn... how in the world do you come up with this stuff?

Metroid, Samus, Kraid, and the rest of 'em are all property of Nintendo, who to my knowledge wouldn't do anything such as sue me or shut poor Planet Zebeth down, because they're so damn nice, and Metroid kicks ass : }
