The bear gloves

Touched I'm allowed to be an indian

A pair of winter mitts with small bear paws beaded onto them.
I'm speaking with the Ancestors right now as I type this. This was incredible, being allowed into a culture, into a people. Being integrated with them, so to speak. Or at least join in on all of their family gatherings and events, go to the festivals, the ceremonies. Oh my goodness it has been a blessing beyond blessings. I've begun helping out during their sweat lodges, collecting lumber. I'm so glad that I have been able to join with them. I've been speaking with the Cree ancestors spiritually since I moved up here, and just kept being drawn.

When I was more or less formally accepted into the bear clan, and told Marie (a sweat lodge elder) about plans to get a tattoo (which did eventually happen ^_^), and that I had planned to stitch beaded bear paws onto my mitts. She was all thrilled and stuff, so off I went!

I moved along at a pretty good pace I would say. This was... more or less my first time beading anything ever before (the seed pouch being the one item before this), so I was just crossing my fingers and seeing how it went.

So as I was making this, the Cree ancestors were speaking to me throughout it, I made a blood pact with my Cree brothers through this, to be strong and to call upon them when I need them.
