This cache is a micro so not much can be said. The canister is a 35mm film canister with a FTF certificate and log book. There is no writing stick so make sure you bring yours. You do not have to enter the golf course to access the cache. |

Y'know, I kept on putting this cache off again and again, because I kept on thinking that I'd have to enter the golf course in order to get it. That'll show me to trust my eyeball instead of the GPS . When I had met up with Bevro at a nearby cache, I asked him if I had to enter the golf course, and he said I shouldn't have to. So... since I was on a bike, I figured I might as well swing by and see how close I could get to the coords.
Turns out I could get to ground zero quite easily . Kinda stood around there and pondered for about 2 minutes before my eyes spotted something out of the ordinary. Given I had seen caches use this technique before, I already knew I had gotten a jackpot .
However, as previous cachers have stated... MAN but this is one drenched puppy. The logbook is literally a ball of soggy paper. No water at the bottom of the container to drip out... but the paper was acting like a sponge basically. I DID manage to unroll the logscroll, but it was dripping. I tried to press out the liquid as best I could, and got it significantly less soggy... but still completely unuseable unless you have a special pen suitable for things like this.
Which I do. Yay for pressurized pens! I barely have to put any weight on it... just enough to roll the rollerball on the tip (which is quite easy... this is a high-quality pen), and the pressurized ink-cartridge does the rest . So... I was able to sign the log... which I really hope will be capable of unrolling again, since it's STILL drenched.
And I mean... this isn't one of those "leave in the sun for a few minutes" levels of wet, it's "take a hair-dryer to it for 20 minutes, and it MIGHT be useable again" levels of wet. Logscroll SERIOUSLY needs replacing, hardcore. Maybe a thin rubber O-ring in the cache container if that's possible too.
Took: A lot of water out of the log
Left: Logbook entry and micromail ball
