Vacation intro part 1
Yep... I'm in severe need of a sorta-vacation. Read on. Or don't... either-or :P

Ok... so here's the deal. Daemona, my fiancee, has told me that I need to go on a nice, long vacation from the comic. I'm sure many, if not virtually all of my fans would agree.
It's not uncommon to either see in the shoutbox, email, or wherever else someone telling me to "Take some time off already, you deserve it". And they may be right.
The main thing that primted this is work. On Monday, February the 18th... which is a holiday here now, I worked 13 and a half hours, with very few, if any breaks. The fact of the matter is that at this current job, it's vastly uncommon for me to NOT work 9 or 10 hours a day.
Stopping the comic however, no matter how temporary... doesn't jive with me. It's been almost 6 years without a permanently skipped comic, and I'll be damned if work will break that. However, I've come up with a way we both win... sorta. It's time to start a kinda sub-story arc called "Acts of Kabutroid".
Metroid, Samus, Kraid, and the rest of 'em are all property of Nintendo, who to my knowledge wouldn't do anything such as sue me or shut poor Planet Zebeth down, because they're so damn nice, and Metroid kicks ass : }
This particular comic strip was made solely by me, by that happy little program known as KolourPaint. Yes, the one that everyone runs in fear from. That's why the comic looks the way it does.
