About the Diversion: Three floods in the '70s, as well as previous floods, led to its construction. Three levels of government, (federal, provincial and local), cooperated to create this diversion as flood protection for the town of Carman. It has been needed several times to protect Carman since its completion in 1992.

Final find of the day with my niece and fiancee. Three outta four ain't too shabby . Pretty much cleared out Carman's caches at this point. Still have a multi to do on the east side of town, the aformentioned DNF to resolve, and a cache of some sort that's about 7km's east of town.

In either case... right after looking for 'Almost Green', we came here (since it's conventiently quite close), and looked around. Found it extremely quickly actually. Coordinates were bang-on. While signing the logbook, I saw that there was what appeared to be a TV sitting in the diversion. Was tempted to CITO it, if not for cleaning than for the ability to say "TNL: TV" at the bottom of my log. Unfortunately, travelling with a niece who's at the moment very susceptible to picking up illnesses, as well as a lack of boxes or bags to put a TV with quite likely a lot of broken picture tube inside of it (couldn't tell if it had a shattered tube or not, but most likely I'd think, if dropped to where it now lies). So... no TV for me.

But nonetheless... thanks for the cache. The pencil inside had a broken tip, but I shaved it workable again with my swiss army knife, so all is good there
